Sunday 11 September 12-5pm

We are deeply saddened by recent news of the passing of The Queen, may she rest in peace. We will still be opening for Open House London this Sunday and look forward to welcoming any of you that would still like to come and say hello.

We are delighted that Open House Festival is back and in celebration we are taking part and inviting you into our new office in Greenwich on Sunday 11 September from 12pm – 5pm. Built during the early 1800’s, 6 David Mews consists of three interlocking historic industrial buildings. These have been stripped back, retro-fitted and co-joined and currently function as an office and exhibition space for AVR London & Anise Gallery.

Open House is an annual festival which celebrates our fantastic city by opening up the doors of buildings that are normally closed and encouraging conversation and interaction.

We will be joined by architect Tim Hall from Light Earth Design for the afternoon who will be talking about some exciting future plans for the building.

THE ART WORK

This Much I’m Worth (The Self-Evaluating Artwork) by Rachel Ara

This much I’m worth [The self-evaluating artwork] is a digital art piece that continually displays its sale value through a series of complex algorithms called ‘the endorsers’. It is constructed with materials that have a history loaded with association. It is both a functional object and spectacle seeking to question values, worth and algorithmic bias.

This work is the first in an edition of the ‘This Much I’m Worth’ series, shown at Anise Gallery in 2017, it went on to be exhibited at the Whitechapel Gallery, London and then at the Vienna Biennale in 2019 and now in David Mews. Tweet it, talk about it and see how it responds…

NO BOOKING REQUIRED – We hope you can pop by, head over to the Open House website for more info
