We take people and culture seriously. We are only as good as the people we employ, so we work hard to create an environment that is both enriching and a happy place to be.

As a collective of artists and researchers we strongly believe in personal development, creative democracy and collaboration in the workplace. Despite our hard work we always have time for fun, with a lively social scene both in and outside of the studio. We have a fully kitted out kitchen, sometimes cooking together at lunchtime and sharing freshly baked bread.

Our current premises, a former spice warehouse near Tower Bridge is situated amongst a hub of fellow creative enterprises, with Conran Architects across the road and the now former Design Museum next door. As we share our space with one of London’s top architectural art galleries, Anise Gallery, we also have wall to wall inspiration and invitations to Private View evenings.

Mid-Level Architectural Illustration Artist

Salary depends on experience, plus performance related bonus + benefits

AVR London have been creating iconic images for architects and developers since 2006. We are a stable, well-established, well respected, small creative team that work on big projects.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, creative artist to join our team in London. Our website will give you an idea of the variety of work we do, and would like you to do too. The role offers great growth opportunities and creative autonomy for the right candidate.

We are seeking someone with a minimum of 2 years demonstrable experience at the highest level of visualisation and a strong portfolio. The majority of our projects are London based so experience from a recognised London based visualisation company would be beneficial. You must be fluent in 3DS Max/Corona and Photoshop, and able to render internal and external scenes with high quality lighting and materials with a natural eye for composition. Additional experience in animation and After Effects would be desirable.

An architectural education is highly favoured, and knowledge of the CGI industry and London is beneficial but not essential. Strong communication skills and time management are also crucial, as are good social skills and the ability to think laterally.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Taking the lead on individual client projects from initial modelling through to completed images of a high calibre in a variety of styles;
  • Liaising directly with clients on their requirements and any subsequent revisions;
  • Using strong artistic and project management skills to take on multiple projects as required, from receiving information through to completion.
  • Ability to lead small teams and desire to mentor and share knowledge and experience with junior members of the studio;
  • Becoming an integral member of the AVR London team assisting in day to day studio activities.
  • Most importantly, you must enjoy creating beautiful images with a team of likeminded creatives.

We also share our space with Anise Gallery, one of London’s leading architectural artwork galleries and have a sister company A-VR, market leaders in real-time VR. Consequently there is a lot of cross-fertilisation of ideas/projects within our studio so interest in both are welcomed.

Please send a CV and portfolio of images and keep the total email size to below 8MB.

No agencies, no freelancers and no applicants without permission to work in the UK please.
